Cudos!

"Bored at work? – Every time your workmate goes out the room shuffle your desk closer to theirs. Continue inch by inch (this one needs real commitment) until you are almost sitting on top of them. "

Recent weeks:

Attitude

" Also recommend you try some primitive attitude dancing with plenty of hand shaking and large moon landing steps. (Please put all video footage on you tube and send us the link!) "

Girl in snow

Parent - the non PC Way

"Is your child striking out? Feel like they are pulling away from you?

Take a deep breath and remove your hands from around their throat. You’re choking them too tight! "

Perseverance:

“You can’t saw sawdust!”

It’s true you can’t. What is done is done. If you need to apologise pick up the phone, email them (don’t you love the ease of apologising on email) or if it’s a “major” mistake apologise to their face. If you’re waiting for an apology move on!

As women we are always talking about mess. “My hair is a mess”; “My house is a mess. “My life’s a mess!”

So I think it is appropriate that we take them lemons and make lemonade!!!! Let’s reduce stress and “mess” with other people’s heads….

Find a friend with OCD

Move their TV, Video and appliance remotes out of those perfect lines when they are not watching. Count how many times they re align them before they catch on!

Go back to the house you grew up in ...

wait until the owners leave then pop up a tent and try a little squatting.

Don’t want to speak to someone on the phone...

Answer the phone in a fake answer machine voice “I’m afraid I can’t take your call, please leave a message after the beep…”

Make no beep … if the person starts speaking break in with “I said! After the beep!” Try this several times and then say “Beep” and hang up!

Bored at work?

Every time your workmate goes out the room shuffle your desk closer to theirs.

Continue inch by inch (this one needs real commitment) until you are almost sitting on top of them.

Justbeforedinner.co.nz accepts no responsibly for bodily harm or other damage resulting from the advice given above…

If your child is new to kindergarten...

or school make sure you call them by a completely different name when talking to the teacher.

If they call you on it, tell them the other name is only to be used on Mondays, This is today’s name.

Tell them a list of appropriate names should be in the child’s file.

Someone talking so much no one else can get a word in?

When they take a breath quickly say directly to them “Well enough about us, (insert name) how about a little something about you!”

Other work place classics include...

  • Cello taping the headset down the phone cradle,
  • Fixing everything from their desk to the ceiling,
  • Emptying the whole office when they are away on holiday and Putting a “to let” sign on the door (Maybe not such a good one in the current climate).
  • Leave someone a message requesting they return a call to Mr. Lyon and include the number for the Zoo.

Now doesn’t that feel better? A couple of fun pranks and head messings and suddenly no more worrying about the mess in your house, hair or life. and look forward to the inevitable retaliation of your friends.
