Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator

Author: Roald Dahl

Genre:   Children

Publisher: The Penguin Group

Rating:   4/5

The second book about Charlie and the chocolate factory. When we left Charlie and Willy Wonka they had taken off through the roof of the chocolate factory with all of Charlie's family.  Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator continues the journey into space and beyond with all the silliness that we have come to expect from the famous author Ronald Dahl.

Sam (8.5 years old) says:

Rating 5/5

This story is about Charlie winning the chocolate factory and ending up in space. He meets some Vermicious Knids.

The main characters are... Willy Wonka (of course), Charlie, Grandpa George, Grandma Georgina, Grandpa Joe and Grandma Josephine.

My favourite character was the Vermicious Knids because they are trying to take the other characters to their planet.

I think all children, grown ups and even you or your grandma will enjoy this book but I warn you that whenever you go to bed and see a shooting star,  remember it is actually a Vermicious Knid breaking through the earths atmosphere!
